Hawaii Snorkeler

Hawaii Snorkeler is a snorkel tour company operating in Hawaii offering guided ocean excursions, private snorkel tours, and gear rental services to tourists and locals. Tourism websites are won and lost on visuals and booking friction — a beautiful site that makes it hard to book is worse than a simple site that converts. The goal was to achieve both.

I built the site on WordPress with Elementor Pro, using full-width immersive imagery and video throughout to place visitors mentally in the ocean experience before they’ve even read a word of copy. The hero section features a video background of underwater snorkel footage, immediately communicating the experience quality.

The tour catalog was built with ACF custom fields, managing each tour’s details (duration, location, group size, price, inclusions) in a structured way that outputs to a card-based listing page and individual tour detail pages. Each tour page has a structured layout: experience description, what’s included, what to bring, guest reviews, and a booking CTA. Online booking integration was connected via FareHarbor, a tour booking platform commonly used by Hawaii activity companies.

A shop section was built for gear rental and merchandise using WooCommerce, adding an additional revenue stream to the site. The site was optimized for search terms tourists use when planning Hawaii activities, with location-specific landing pages for Oahu, Maui, and the Big Island. Given that most tourist traffic comes from mobile devices, every breakpoint was carefully QA’d.
