Project Summary
Tapline Studio is a creative design and branding agency that needed a website as refined as the work they produce for clients. Agency websites are uniquely challenging — they need to demonstrate taste while remaining functional, feel visually impressive without being gimmicky, and ultimately convert visitors into conversations.
I built the site in Webflow using a design approach centered on restraint and intentionality. The portfolio grid is the centerpiece of the experience — a curated Webflow CMS-driven showcase of projects with hover reveals and smooth transitions. Each project opens into a full case study layout with challenge, approach, and outcome sections.
The services section is structured as a clean list with brief descriptions rather than a typical feature grid — an intentional choice that signals a studio that’s comfortable with simplicity and doesn’t need to oversell. The about page communicates the studio’s philosophy and process in genuine, non-corporate language.
Webflow animations throughout are precise and purposeful — cursor-following hover effects on the portfolio grid, smooth section transitions, and a custom page loader were all built using native Webflow tools with no external libraries. The site is fully responsive with breakpoints designed individually rather than simply adapting the desktop layout down. Page performance was kept high through careful media optimization and interaction complexity management.
