Project Summary
Tear-Aid is a well-established repair tape brand with decades of market presence, offering flexible, waterproof repair solutions for fabrics, inflatables, plastics, vinyl, and industrial surfaces. They needed a WordPress site that served as both a product information hub and a direct-to-consumer shopping destination, while also supporting their wholesale and distribution network.
I built the site on WordPress using Elementor Pro with WooCommerce for the shop functionality. The product catalog is the centerpiece — organized by substrate type (Type A for fabric/vinyl, Type B for clear plastics) with clear compatibility guides helping consumers find the right product for their repair need. Product pages include detailed specifications, application instructions, compatible materials, and video demonstrations.
The shop was built with a clean checkout flow optimized for mobile, where the majority of consumer purchases originate. Custom CSS was applied to the WooCommerce templates to match the brand’s visual identity throughout the shopping experience. A product selector tool was built to help first-time buyers choose between product types based on what they’re repairing — reducing purchase uncertainty and returns.
A wholesale/distributor section was included with a separate inquiry form for bulk pricing requests and distributor applications. The site was built to support both consumer and B2B buyer journeys without the two audiences feeling like they’re on the same page at the wrong time. Full SEO optimization was applied across product pages with long-tail targeting for repair-specific search queries.
